News from the True Health Initiative

PRC Director David Katz, MD has assembled the True Health Initiave, a global coalition of leading experts and influencers to disseminate unified messages about healthful, sustainable dietary patterns. 

They agree on six core principles of healthy living:

  1. Consuming minimally-processed, mostly plant-based foods
  2. Adopting a physically active lifestyle
  3. Avoiding toxins such as tobacco and excess alcohol
  4. Getting plenty of sleep
  5. Reducing stress
  6. Cultivating supportive relationships and social bonds
